(Information about Erika Boehm and her artwork are
provided by her surviving daughter and granddaughter, Ingrid Myers and
Kelly McLaughlan.)
Erika Boehm's lifetime of work originated in East
Germany during the 1950's; most work was created in
1987 in Pfungstadt, Germany (a suburb of Darmstadt), and is
offered here for the first time by the artist's family.
After leaving East Germany in 1961, Erika Boehm lived in Pfungstadt and
later in the United States.
The items below are the first to be
offered in the last thirty years from Erika Boehm's entire collection,
representing a lifetime of work and thousands of pieces. Her work
includes hundreds of oils, ink drawings, prints, watercolors,
landscapes, portraits, still objects, botanical themes,
cityscapes and architectures. Boehm was first widely
recognized and popular in the late 1970's in Germany, with publication
of a book, local gallery showings, print sales and
some sales of original work (mainly portraits).
Boehm's family retains over 99% of the originals from her
collection.
Prints are available framed with
hardware, and gift wrapped at no additional charge. Prices will vary;
contact Ingrid and Kelly for more information and to place
orders.
